Everything we take on

HIU servicing

A heat interface unit that is never looked at loses hot water performance slowly enough that nobody notices until it is bad.

HIU repair

No hot water, no heating, a leak under the unit, or a code on the display. Telling us what it is doing saves a visit.

HIU replacement

If you live in a flat on communal heating, the unit in your cupboard is a heat interface unit, and replacing one is a different job from anything in a house.

Radiators

A radiator added, moved, swapped for a towel rail, or balanced so the back bedroom finally warms up.

Leaks

A leak you can see, a stain on a ceiling you cannot explain, or a meter that keeps turning with everything off.

Drainage

A sink that drains slowly, a gully that backs up in heavy rain, or waste pipework that has never run properly.

Toilets

Fitted, swapped, or the one that has been running quietly into the pan since the spring.

Sinks and taps

Taps that drip, taps that have seized, and basins and sinks swapped without wrecking the worktop.

Cylinders

G3 unvented qualified. Cylinders installed and replaced, vented and unvented, and the small parts on them that fail quietly until there is no hot water.

Heating controls

Thermostats, programmers and smart heating, fitted and actually set up rather than left on the default.

Absolutely fantastic service from Mongan Plumbing and Heating LTD. We had a new set of taps fitted on the sink and the toilet cistern replaced as the old one kept bypassing. From start to finish, the service was excellent. Communication throughout was really good, everything was clearly explained and arranging the work was straightforward. The price was very competitive and punctuality was 10/10 — arrived bang on time as arranged. The quality of the work was outstanding, everything was completed to a really high standard, and there were no issues whatsoever. Everything was also cleaned up afterwards and left exactly as it was upon arrival, which was really appreciated. Couldn’t fault the service at all and would highly recommend Mongan Plumbing and Heating LTD to anyone looking for reliable, professional and reasonably priced plumbing work. Would definitely use them again.

I contacted Anthony from Mongan Plumbing and Heating LTD to fix a leaking waste pipe under the bath and replace my old shower pump. He turned up exactly when he said he would, was friendly and professional throughout. Found and fixed the leak straight away, installed the new pump perfectly, and tested everything to make sure it was all working correctly. Even tidied up afterwards — you’d barely know he’d been here. Great price, great work. Highly recommended to anyone needing a reliable plumber. 10/10!

Questions people ask before they ring

How do we get started?

Call 07444 756220 and speak to Anthony, or send a message on WhatsApp to the same number. You can also email monganplumbingandheating@yahoo.com. Include the property postcode and a short description of what needs attention.

What if the heating or hot water has stopped?

Tell us what has changed and any fault code on the display, and have a look at what the pressure gauge reads. If there is water coming out of the unit, turn the water off at the stopcock and ring us. A photo of the display saves a lot of guessing.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. We do not run an out of hours or weekend service, so if you ring outside those hours leave a message or send a WhatsApp and Anthony will come back to you on the next working day.

Are you qualified to fit unvented cylinders?

Yes. Anthony holds G3, which is the unvented hot water qualification, and is WRAS approved. He is not Gas Safe registered and does not work on gas appliances.

Which areas do we cover?

Brentwood and Romford, and the streets between them. Tell us the postcode when you ring and we will say yes or no straight away.

Can I send photos first?

Yes, and it helps. Send them on WhatsApp to 07444 756220. A picture of the unit, its badge, the fault code or the leak tells us what to bring with us.

How do quotes work?

We look at the job, then give you a price for it. There is no obligation to go ahead, and nothing gets started until you have agreed to the price.

What if the job I need is not listed?

Ring and ask. The list on this site is the work we do most often, not everything we do, and most plumbing and heating jobs are somewhere on it even if the wording is different.
