Radiators in Brentwood and Romford
Most radiator work is not a new radiator. It is a radiator that has never worked properly: cold at the bottom, cold at the top, or the one room in the house that the heating has never reached.Cold at the bottom is sludge. Cold at the top is air. A room that was always cold, with a radiator that gets hot, is usually a radiator that was never big enough for the room, and no amount of bleeding will change that. Those are three different jobs and it is worth knowing which one you have before anyone quotes.Adding or moving a radiator means the pipework as well as the radiator, and on a system that has been added to over the years it is worth checking the rest will still balance afterwards. How much is it?
£150 an hour with a one hour minimum. A straight radiator swap is usually inside that; moving one and running new pipework is longer and we say so before we start.
One room never gets warm. Is that the heating unit?
Usually not. It is more often balancing, a sludged radiator, or a radiator that was never big enough for the room. All three are cheaper to put right than replacing anything.
Can you fit a heated towel rail?
Yes, and it is one of the commonest jobs we do. If it is replacing an existing radiator the pipe centres rarely match, so there is usually a little pipework with it.

What if the heating or hot water has stopped?
Tell us what has changed and any fault code on the display, and have a look at what the pressure gauge reads. If there is water coming out of the unit, turn the water off at the stopcock and ring us. A photo of the display saves a lot of guessing.
