Dartford and the surrounding area have seen residential development on a scale that is unusual even for the south east, and large modern developments are built on communal or district heating as a matter of course. If your home is newer than about 2015 and you cannot find a boiler, that is why: what you have is a heat interface unit.

The older town
The older parts of Dartford are a mix of Victorian terraces and postwar housing, with the usual consequence: systems that have been added to rather than designed, and radiators that have never been balanced against each other.
Hard water
North Kent is hard water, and scale is the quiet cost of it. It fouls plate heat exchangers, shortens the life of immersion heaters, and is a large part of why hot water performance drops off slowly enough that nobody notices.

Managing agents, and blocks done together
Because so much of the housing here is recent and managed, a lot of our Dartford work arrives through agents rather than residents. Servicing a run of flats in one visit is both cheaper per flat and far less disruptive than a separate appointment each time, and it is the arrangement most blocks end up with.

There probably is not one. Newer developments here are on communal heating and what you have is a heat interface unit, which is exactly what we work on.
Do you charge extra to come to Kent?
No. The rate is the same: £150 an hour for heating and plumbing, £140 call-out for an HIU diagnosis.
